Ilhabela, Brazil

The São Paulo School of Advanced Methane Science is offering a course for graduate students and early career scientists. Priority will be given to candidates currently enrolled in graduate programs (Masters/MSc and Doctoral/PhD) and for recent recipients of graduate degrees.

The proposed school program will cover the areas of methane science that have resulted in the most important recent advances. Topics include the global methane budget and the impact of methane on climate; the molecular and cellular biology that underlies the flux of methane into the atmosphere; the ecology of methane; and the course applications of recent discoveries, in fields ranging from agriculture to engineering to medicine. The daily schedule is organised to allow lectures, debate, and group course discussion as well as student presentations and poster sessions.
