The Animal Health and GHG Emissions Intensity Network of the Global Research Alliance aims to investigate links and synergies between efforts to reduce livestock disease and reducing GHG emissions.
The 1st Network workshop will be held on the 25th March 2014 in the margins of the Society for Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventative Medicine (SVEPM) Conference, Dublin (Ireland). It will be chaired by the Network co-coordinators John Tayleur (Defra, UK) and Tim Robinson (ILRI, CGIAR). See flyer here.
The workshop will bring together researchers in animal science, veterinary science, GHG research and other relevant fields to develop international links, share information on current research, discuss opportunities to build upon this research, and identify priority activities for the Network. More information on the workshop and SVEPM conference can be found at: http://www.svepm2014.com/pre-conference-meetings/.
The workshop has a limited capacity and the aim is to achieve representation from the all interested GRA member countries and relevant international organisations. If you are interested in representing your country at this meeting please contact Alice Willett on: [email protected].
