SUMMARY:GRA MMN Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The GRA Manure Management Network (MMN) is a global forum for scientists focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from livestock production and increasing the nutrient use efficiency of manures. Manure management is the handling\, storage and disposal of urine and feces from livestock\, other than the manure deposited directly onto pastures by grazing animals. \n\n\n\nMMN areas of research interest include: \n\n\n\nImproving our understanding of drivers of greenhouse gas emissions from manuresDeveloping a directory of mitigation strategies that can be applied to the manure management chainPolicy recommendations for improving manure management to support SDG\n\n\n\nThe Manure Management Network is currently working on: \n\n\n\nA compilation of mitigation methods and strategiesMeta-data reporting requirements for different greenhouse gas sourcesHarmonizing protocols for greenhouse gas measurements from different stages of the manure management chain\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGGAA 2022 MMN Meeting FlyerDownload\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions about attending this meeting? Email April Leytem for further information. \n\n\n\nThis meeting is aligned with GGAA 2022.

SUMMARY:GRA FNN Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Attend this meeting to find out more about GRA Feed & Nutrition Network (FNN)\, CEDERS\, the Global Network and the Flagship projects. You’ll hear updates about projects in progress and have an opportunity to explore the possibility of joining this concerted effort. \n\n\n\nFNN provides a collaborative forum for scientists to: \n\n\n\nSummarize and evaluate available data on mitigating GHG emissions of ruminants by nutritional meansDevelop sound recommendations on methane mitigation by nutritional means for stakeholdersIdentify gaps in knowledge and focus research on priority issues\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFNN Meeting FlyerDownload\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions about attending this meeting or joining the Network? Email Feed & Nutrition Network (FNN) Chair Dr. André Bannink for further information. \n\n\n\nThis meeting is aligned with GGAA 2022.

SUMMARY:GRA AHN Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The GRA Animal Health & Greenhouse Gas Emissions Intensity Network (AHN) focuses on the interplay between animal health and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from a systemic perspective. AHN aims to gather researchers\, governments\, non-governmental organizations\, and the private sector to: \n\n\n\nDiscuss and find inter-disciplinary approaches to understand and tackle the impacts of climate change on animal health and the impacts of animal health on the environment.Advance the process of integrating animal health interventions to policy settings.\n\n\n\nWorkshop participants will: \n\n\n\nHave the opportunity to contribute to the new strategy of the networkHear from leading researchers on the most-recent studies relevant to the networkDiscuss their involvement in a COST proposal\n\n\n\nJoin us to find out more about AHN’s planned activities and get involved! \n\n\n\nContacts: Nick Wheelhouse\, Napier University and Şeyda Ozkan\, FAO \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis meeting is aligned with GGAA 2022.

SUMMARY:GGAA 2022 Conference
DESCRIPTION:The 8th International Greenhouse Gas and Animal Agriculture Conference (GGAA) will be held 5 – 10 June 2022 in person in Orlando\, Florida\, USA and online. \n\n\n\nGGAA is attended by more than 400 delegates from over 40 countries. The conference will feature six prominent keynote speakers and a series of pre-conference workshops with an attendance limited to approximately 30 delegates per workshop. Meetings of the Global Research Alliance on Agriculture Greenhouse Gases will be hosted after the conference to enhance international research and networking. These meetings will include: 1) the Animal Selection\, Genetics and Genomics Network; 2) the Manure Management Network; 3) the Animal Health and GHG Emissions Intensity Network; 4) the Feed and Nutrition Network; and 5) the Rumen Microbial Genomics Network. \n\n\n\nThe meeting aims to present the latest research on the mitigation of greenhouse gases\, measurement and modeling\, as well as to discuss on-farm practices and policies to address the challenges associated with agricultural practices and their impact on greenhouse gases. The conference will feature highly respected and internationally renowned speakers\, who will review the state of the art and present significant new developments in the field. Delegates will have the opportunity to publish their abstracts in the conference proceedings. \n\n\n\nVisit the conference website for more information\, abstracts must be submitted online by Friday 5 November 2021.
