Webinar : Launch of the next generation of the interactive web application of FAO’s Global Livestock Environmental Assessment Model (GLEAM)

We are pleased to invite you to a webinar marking the launch of the next generation of the interactive web application of FAO’s Global Livestock Environmental Assessment Model (GLEAM), on Wednesday 21 October 2026.

For our network, the new web app offers new ways to use livestock GHG evidence in NDC development, national GHG inventories, and climate investment planning.  

  • Methodology: Combines the IPCC Tier 2 methodology with a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach to estimate direct on-farm emissions and indirect emissions along the production chain.
  • Enhanced features: Offers an updated interface, revised methodologies and data, and improved functionality.
  • Transition: Will progressively replace the existing GLEAM-i platform.
  • Advanced analysis: For more detailed analyses, customized modelling, or the preparation of national GHG inventories, users are encouraged to use the full-featured GLEAM-X R package.

During the session, we will highlight the new features, technical improvements, as well as the roadmap for new releases and opportunities to engage with the GLEAM team to provide feedback. The webinar will also include a live demonstration of the platform with practical use cases.
