On the 5th of July, the ORCaSa partners are organising a webinar dedicated to MRV (Monitoring, Reporting & Verification) systems for soil organic carbon (SOC).

Soil carbon experts and stakeholders are invited to share your views and inputs on the current methodologies, the one proposed by ORCaSa partners, and the MRV initiatives to map.

Your participation will help them to:

• provide an update of the latest developments and knowledge on MRV systems for SOC.
• propose and build a prototype MRV system for agricultural soils and explore options for forest and wetland soils.

After a brief introduction of the ORCaSa’s project and its main objectives, you will have the opportunity to get an overview of the current and proposed MRV scheme, the building blocks or components, and the international review of current MRV initiatives for SOC stock changes assessment and associated methodologies carried out by the ORCaSa partners.
