Japan’s statement at the 2018 Council meeting

Japan hosted the seventh Global Research Alliance (GRA) Council meeting on 29 and 30 August 2017 in Tsukuba, Japan. The meeting was attended by 74 representatives from 27 countries and invited guests including observer countries and partners.

Following the meeting, Japan has made an extensive effort to support research groups and flagships, to lift the profile of the Alliance and strengthen relations with its partners and public, and to expand the membership of the Alliance during its chairmanship.
