Software for the Calculation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Agricultural Crops
The DASIG model is a user-friendly computer application for the calculation and modeling of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from agricultural crops. It analyzes, calculates, and verifies the accuracy of nitrous oxide (N2O), methane (CH4), and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions using air samples collected from static flux chambers installed in the field.
The current release includes two submodels: the Dasig-Flux processes data files containing a time series of GHG concentrations determined through trace gas analyzer and calculates gas fluxes using linear and non-linear equations. The Dasig-GWP Global Warming Potential model estimates the climate impact of CH4, N2O and CO2 from cropland using data generated by the Dasig-Flux module. It calculates daily, cumulative, and total GHG emissions for given crop growth periods or annual cycles. Emissions are reported in terms of CO2 equivalents (CO2 eq)

DASIG Application for Windows
DASIG 1.0 is distributed as a single installation executable named DasigSetup-1.0.x.x. The installer will perform all necessary operations. is programmed in Python; its installation will not interfere with any Python environment that may be present in the user’s computer. DASIG requires the statistical computing software ‘R’ (https://www.r-project.org/). If R is not found on your computer, DASIG will ask for permission to install the software, as well as the R add-on package HMR (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/HMR/index.html).
If R is not found, or is not allowed to be installed, DASIG will not be installed on the computer.
DASIG does not require administrator privileges for its installation.
