An introduction to some basic principles of climate change including the greenhouse effect, how greenhouse gases contribute to climate change and how their contribution is measured. No prior knowledge required.

• understand basic principles of climate change including the greenhouse effect, how greenhouse gases contribute to climate change and how their contribution is measured;
• understand how nature has influenced climate change and the role of major greenhouse gas sinks; and
• be able to identify the evidence for climate change and the expected consequences.
