BEEF AND SHEEP

Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) seek an outstanding new leader for their Beef and Sheep Research Centre. The post will be based in Edinburgh and focused around SRUC’s extensive research facilities at Bush Estate near Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading development of a research programme of international quality focused on an increased understanding of ruminants and their management systems.  The research will play a significant role addressing conflicting global problems of food security and climate change. HILL AND MOUNTAIN

Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) seek an inspired and inspiring leader for their Hill and Mountain Research Centre. The post will be based in Edinburgh but focused around SRUC’s extensive research facilities in the West Highlands of Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading development of a research programme of international quality that addresses the challenges for agriculture, other land uses and associated policy making in the hills and uplands of Scotland and similar ecosystems elsewhere in the world.
